Jjimdak

Jjimdak (Spicy steamed chicken) is a Korean dish. This dish consists of chicken, chilli peppers, onions, cucumbers, potatoes, clear noodles, leeks and carrots braised in a spicy sauce of garlic, caramel sauce, rice wine, sesame oil and soy sauce. I ate it when I went to Korea. Since then It has been one of my favourite Korean foods. I missed it! Fortunately, last week a Korean friend of Camille visited us and she cooked us a wonderful Jjimdak! I asked if I could help prepare the dish while she was in the kitchen and without her knowing I watched what she was doing so that I could make it myself, Sorry Songyi ^^ Tonight! Guess what?! It's our turn! Camille and I cooked Jjimdak for dinner, Yay! Yum Yum! Let's take a look how it looks like before we ate it all! Ha ha :-D
Jjimdak (Poulet épicé à la vapeur) est un plat coréen. Ce plat est composé de poulet, piments rouges, oignons, concombres, patates, vermicelles, poireaux et de carottes, le tout braisé dans une sauce à l'ail épicée, sauce caramel, vin de riz, huile de sésame et sauce soja. J'en ai mangé quand je suis allée en Corée. C'est un de mes plats coréens préféré depuis ce jour-là. Ça m'a manqué! Heureusement, la semaine dernière une amie coréen de Camille nous a rendu visite et elle a fait un Jjimdak merveilleux! Bien sȗr que je n'allais pas le rater! Donc j'ai marché vers elle et demandé si je pouvais l'aider. (En fait, j'avais un plan). J'étais donc dans la cuisine, et tandis que je l'aidais à préparer le plat, je jettais un œil :-P Désolée Songyi ^^ Finalement! Ce soir! Devinez quoi? C'est notre tour! Camille et moi nous avons fait un Jjimdak pour le dȋner, oh là là! Miam Miam! Jettons un œil à comment ça semble avant de manger tout ça! Haha :-D

Our dinner tonight was improvised as I bought the wrong noodles :-S And then I did not use enough sauce. I thought it was enough but when I added the noodles, it was all absorbed :-/ The taste was also a bit too sweet as Camille put added lots of caramel sauce. However, it was not bad. We will try it again and next time will be better :-)
Le résultat de notre dȋner ce soir est, tout d'abord, je me suis trompée des nouilles :-S Deuxièmement, il n'y avait pas assez du sauce, je pensais que c'était suffisant mais quand j'ai ajouté les nouilles, elles ont tout absorbé :-/ Pour finir, le goȗt était un peu trop sucré car Camille a mis beaucoup de sauce caramel. Cependant, c'était pas mal. On l'essayera à nouveau. On espère que ce sera mieux :-)

Painting - Tableau

It was my birthday last week. I went to Thai restaurant with my family and friends in Toulouse. It was the first time I have celebrated my birthday in France. I did not expect this ever to have happened but it has, thanks to them :-) I was very happy! Here are some photos that I took on the way back home after our dinner. Every time I passed this place, I really liked the idea and I enjoy looking at it and fortunately, that night I had my beloved camera with me.
C'était mon anniversaire la semaine dernière. Je suis allée au restaurant thaïlandais avec ma famille et mes amis à Toulouse. C'était la permière fois que je fêtais mon anniversaire en France. Je ne m'y attendais pas mais je les remercie :-) J'étais très heureuse! Voici quelques photos que j'ai prises sur la route après avoir fini le dîner. Chaque fois que je suis passée à cet endroit, j'aime beaucoup l'idée et j'amuse à le regarder et heureusement, cette nuit-là j'avais emmené mon appareil photo adoré.
